Evaluation
Over the past 6 weeks i have created my blog and done plenty of research towards the band photography aspect. The aim was to capture the development of Band Identity and my blog helps to show how i am developing this, for example adding photos i have taken and photos others have taken (research). I can also add videos of my own or other bands from you tube.
I have taken a series of my own images in the studio and also taken images from the web from artists who specialize in band photography, i have taken ideas from this work and incorporated it into my own work and photos. We took the music video from Vampire Weekend called A Punk and created our own similar version using 3 guitars, a microphone and a camera. This video worked very well and is an important piece in our research because it allows us to compare the two and see how we can improve.
We can also use the blog to see how our other group members are doing and to compare our work to others enabling to develop our ideas more. The blog site is also used for our tutors to see our progress and add comments to our work.
I think so far the whole project has gone very well, i enjoy working practically and having things to show for my work i produce, i haven't experienced any major problems within my work and i now just need to improve things a little bit to create better photos and videos.

Band Photography Evaluation
I think that our band photography went really well and we got some really strong and productive images. We defiantly produced images that reflect the band image and i think this was produced because of the props we used and the lighting we created for the shoot. To improve these images i think we could make 35% of them more in focus by coming further forward to the camera as when we were further back we became more blurry. The photos also created the band look because they are full body images and are set up to look how they do.

Gered Mankowitz photography:
I like this image because it is very simple and shows the artist in an everyday life situation
I like this image because the way it is composed puts him in the middle, drawing the attention towards him.
I like this image because of the angle it is shot from, the angle is looking up towards the artist.
i like this image because it shows the whole band also it is in colour making it more interesting
I like this image because of the environment it is taken in, also the fact that it is composed centrally so that the main focus is the band members
this image is my favorite image because it is split into a sequence but the colours have been altered in each individual section.
I like this image because the poses are quite mind grabbing, the make you look closer at the image. Also it is composed in the rule of thirds because there is something in each box.
The colours on this image make it very interesting to look at, also how his face and hands are in black and white mean the image is different and attractive to look at.
Another simple image with a very good effect, i think the smoke makes it much more interesting to look at.
